Experience unique hiking trail above the Konavle valley, just 35 minutes drive from Dubrovnik city and hospitality of the local family in the small hidden village among the beautiful hills!
Beginners to advanced hikers, all are welcome.

We will meet in the place called Zvekovica, from where we continue together just 10 minutes drive to the trailhead. The first part of our hiking trail uses the original steam railway which built 1903 by during Austro-Hungarian times and closed in 1976, known locally as „Ćiro“.
Along the route, you will enjoy in the beautiful landscapes of Konavle valley, in stories about the local life and pass through the tunnel pierced into the rocks.
The second part of the hiking trail, known only to local people and mountaineers, leads us uphill from 250 m above sea level through the beautiful green forest to the picturesque village Kuna, which nestled beneath mountains at 700 meters above sea level.

Kuna is one of the rare villages where one gets the impression that time has stopped.
After a total of 2,5 hours of hiking, we will be rewarded with a delicious snack thoughtfully prepared just for us by the member of the local family.

Why this trail is special? 

Old railway trail is rarely used by people, it is a uniquely peaceful place with a lot of historical stories to share, and path through the forest is known only to local people and mountaineers.
Kuna is a small village among the hills, with warm people, few goats, sheep, where the best potato of the region grows, stopped in time and shaded by tourism on the coast.
Our hosts will share some stories and treat us with a delicious snack.
